Abstract—In this contribution, we propose an adaptation-driven methodology for the technical design and implementa-tion of multi-agent simulations that is inspired by the concept of “living design”. The simulated agents are capable of evaluating their behavior and self-adapt for improving the overall model. For this aim, the modeler describes critical, non valid situations in the life of an agent, or the complete agent system, and explicitly specifies repair knowledge for these situations. Keywords-multi-agent systems, simulation, methodology. I
